Just stuff...

The past week has been purty good, cept fer las nite which I'll git ta in a bit.

I'm really happy ta have my Mama! She understans me real good an doesn't git mad like other grown up do when I do stuff. Like the other day I was walkin on the high up rail at home. I was bein real careful an Mama telled me ta git down, but she didn't yell at me or anythin. She jus telled me ta git down an I know why... it's cuz she cares bout me an that feels good.
Mama started ta tell me a real good story, we ain't finished yet but it's bout a guy named Gulliver an he ends up all lone at this place. But, he's not really lone cuz there are lots an lots a lil people. They are real people but they are only six inches tall... that's real lil cuz Mama showed me with her fingers how tall it is. Gulliver is sleepin right now an we are gonna finish the story another nite. Mama was rockin me an I was bout fallin sleep at the same time Gulliver did... I think the lil people gived me some a the same sleepy drink they gived Gulliver :)
The other day there was a mean white horsie that comed an was fightin with some a the nice horsies. A few a em getted hurt but they is all arite cept fer Moonshadow, the big black stallion. I'm real sad bout this cuz I think Moonshadow was finally startin ta like an trust me. But he's a lil crazy now an he dun like people anymore. He's tryin ta hurt folks an we ain't posed ta git near him. I was sittin over at the clinic around back a the stables an Mama was tendin ta a lil filly that was hurted. It seemed like a long long time goed by so I went ta see how things was. Mama was on the ground an Miss Sarah was there with her tryin ta help her. I getted real scared but didn't let em know... I had ta act brave. Turns out Moonshadow goed crazy or sumthin an his hoof getted my Mama in the head! I runned ahead ta town to see if a doc was there an Miss Sarah helped Mama get ta the docs office. She had ta have some stitches in her head, but she's gonna be arite.

Nothin can happen ta my Mama an I prayed ta God lotsa times las nite so he would make sure she's arite. I telled Mama that I need her an she Rainbow Promised that she's gonna be arite, an I believe her.

Wednesday mornin...

I getted up an Mama was still asleep so I came inta my room ta write bout how happy I am. I dun think I ever sleeped so good or waked up feelin so happy afore. God sure does know what He's doin an He sure bringed me ta the mos perfeck Mama ever. How could I not sleep good when this is how I goed ta sleep:


~ Mama pulls the quilt back *alright in we go*

~ Piper runs and jumps onto the bed then settles in

~ Mama hops in with her

~ Piper smiles

~ Mama pulls the covers around them snuggling them in, brushes some hair from her face kissing her cheek "I love ya more then all the sunrays and clouds in the sky Piper..now you have sweet dreams"

~ Piper whispers "I love ya more than all the sunshine an raindrops in the world, my Mama!"

~ Mama smiles heart warming and wraps her in her arms humming softly till they both fall asleep

~ Piper snuggles up close to her Mama and closes her eyes falling asleep.

Adoption Day!

Sunday July 18, 1899 was the big day fer me an.... Mama! We had gone campin with Timmie, Lily, Dmi an Jules after school on Saturday then comed back home an had ta get all cleaned up. I even taked a bath... I think I'm gonna have ta jus get used ta baths now cuz my Mama likes me ta take em. Mama suprised me with a new dress an it's purple, my favorite color. We both getted all clean an dressed real purty an went ta town.


Mama has a good memory an as much as I wanted her ta ferget bout that Smallpox shot she didn't. She finded a nurse in town, Miss Kat, who was able ta do it. I was sooo scared it took a long time afore I would let Mama put me down on the docs table. When I finally letted her put me down I started ta cry an couldn't stop. Miss Kat was tryin ta be real nice but it wasn't workin. Mama holded my hand an was talkin ta me but the tears keeped on comin an I wouldn't even look at Miss Kat. It seemed like it taked a year ta be done even though Miss Kat telled me it would be over by the time I counted ta ten... an I think it was. I'm really glad ta be done with that an hope I dun need another shot ever in my life.

After the shot we went over ta Miss Sarah's studio an then ta the courthouse. We waited there fer a long time an the judge dun show up so we went back ta Miss Sarah's studio fer stories. Miss Sarah telled us a real nice story bout a guy that worked on a railroad an was kina a hero. I tried ta pay tention ta the story, but honestly I was kina worried that I wasn't gonna get dopted an was feelin sad. But... after storytime we went back over ta the courthouse an Mister Mayor Adrian was there an ready ta do the doption!

Miss Sarah an Lily an Miss Sheriff Sarrah an some other folks was all there an we listened ta Mister Mayor Adrian talk an ask me stuff:

We went home an Mama an me was so tired we goed straight ta bed all snuggled up an happy.

This mornin afore we went ta the orphange ta pick up my stuff I gived Mama a picture I maked fer her. I have cided that when I make a real portant promise ta someone I'm gonna Rainbow Promise jus like God did with Noah when He telled Noah that the rainbow was His promise that there would never be another flood that would take over the whole earth gain.

Adoption is gettin close...

The past two days have been purty citin fer me. There's one bad thing, but all the rest is good. The bad thing is Miss Jess telled me that I gots a have a Small Pox shot afore we go ta court fer the doption. I dun think I need it, but they say I gots ta. I'm real scared... all the kids have sayed that shots hurt real bad. I dun remember ever havin one an am scared. If I ain't loved Miss Jess so much I would jus runway an not have the shot. We are posed ta go ta court tomorrow which means I might have ta have the shot today if Doc Freja is round. I'm not gonna talk bout it an hope maybe they all jus ferget bout it.

Yesterday Miss Jess telled me I could go get some a my clothes an bring em back ta her house. I been stayin there more than at the orphanage an I keep runnin outta clothes an havin ta borrow Alesha's. So, I went back an was tryin ta figure out which ones ta bring an cided ta jus drag my whole trunk full a stuff over. I was hopin Miss Jess wouldn't be made an she wasn't. She chuckled a lil at me draggin that big thing.

We putted all my clothes in the chest with Alesha's an the we goed ta the ranch an did chores an stuff. Timmie was there workin an it was real good ta see him. He seems real happy bout me bein dopted by Miss Jess. He says she's an angel.

I gathered egg from the chickies an getted seven a them, I awso checked on my bunnies who are gettin so big. Miss Jess milked the cow an feeded the chickies. An then I taked the milk an eggs back ta the house.

Today when I waked up there was a real big suprise fer me. Miss Jess buyed my bed an bedroom furniture an it was delivered ta the house. It's soooooo purty an not too pink. I love it! Miss Jess awso put this music player thingy (I ferget what she called it) on the nightstand next ta my bed. It has these disks an they play the purtiest music. She knows I love music an it helps me sleep. Then a course I had ta test the most portant part a the bed... an I happy ta say that it jumps real good!

Now I'm jus sittin in "my room" an thinkin bout stuff. Miss Jess is restin an Alesha ain't home so it's real quiet. Alesha had ta go stay with her Auntie cuz she was havin some trouble breathin in Tombstone. It's real dusty an lotsa folks seem ta get breathin problems. I'm sure glad I dun get em. Miss Jess sayed that I dun have ta go stay in North Carolina with Alesha an her Auntie, but we might go ta visit sometime an that would be fun. Anyways... I'm thinkin an prayin ta God that this is gonna be a real good thing bein dopted. I ain't had good luck with folks takin care a me an I keep talkin ta God bout this. He makes me feel good an so does Miss Jess so I think it's gonna be real good.

Willow Lake...

When I waked up yesterday Miss Jess asked if I wanted ta go ta Willow Lake an swim an guess what... a course I did!

There was a new man we meeted named Mister Loki an he comed with and so did Miss Lita an on the was we saw Travis an he getted ta come too. We got there an we swimmed an splashed an jumped in the water an it was lotsa fun. I getted lil tired so took a break on a log an did some daydreamin... amost even feel asleep.

While I was daydreamin Miss Jess was busy settin up a suprise. She is gonna get a new name soon... the Suprise Lady. *giggles* I looked up an she had setted up tents... we were gonna camp out over nite. I love campin out. It was gettin dark an I bringed a jar fer catchin fireflies an all a sudden there they was... lotsa fireflies. Miss Lita catched two an I catched two so we had four in the jar. I putted it down near the tent so we could see in the middle a the nite.

We had stew fer dinner an then Miss Jess telled us two stories. One was kina scary bout a bad Pirate named Blackbeard. But one funny thing was he putted his long long beard in piggytails. I wish I could a seen that. The other story wasn't scary it was bout a big gigantor blue ox. I never seen an ox but this one was sooooooo big an nice too.

Travis had ta go home after stories, but the rest a us camped out. Mister Loki sleeped outside in a bedroll, Miss Lita an Shadow sleeped in one tent an Miss Jess an me in the other.


There's somethin bout sleepin outside that makes me sleep real good. A course bein next ta Miss Jess helps cuz I feel safe. She says she ain't gonna let anythin happen ta me an I believe her. There was a real scary noise afore we goed ta bed, but she sayed she won't let it get us an it didn't!

I was the first one ta wake up this mornin an I sneaked outta the tent an jus sat an enjoyed the quiet. It's real purty out at Willow Lake in the mornin.

Ohhhh... I hear folks wakin up. Gonna end fer now....

Sunday fun...

Yesterday was sooo much fun! I was in town with Lily an Miss Jess showed up an asked if we wanted ta go swimmin an have a picnic. A course we did, I couldn't stop jumpin up an down so jumped all the way ta the orphanage ta change my clothes.

Lily, Timmie an I rided in a wagon with Beauty pulling it an Miss Jess rided on Twister. We got ta the lake an I getted ta show Timmie an Lily how I can swim now. I was real happy an not too scared. It was my second time swimmin since I learned. Well I learned ta float a while go from Miss Sarah, but then Miss Jess finished teachin me how ta swim. I can float real good too.

There is a really neat swing thingy at the lake, but I was too scared ta try it. Miss Jess an Timmie did it though an they was both real good at it.


After we swimmed fer a long time we had a picnic... Timmie, Miss Lita, Miss Jess an me. Miss Jess bringed us samwiches an fruit. She bringed apples an bananers. Timmie never had a bananer an it was so fun ta watch him cuz he loved it so much! Then we had blueberry muffins that Miss Jess maked all by herself an they were really good.

Miss Jess sayed she had a suprise fer me after we were dun an it was back at the stables. I was so cited, but she wouldn't tell me what it was. So we cleaned up the picnic stuff an we rode back to the stables. In a lil pen next ta the stables was the cutest lil lamb in the world! Miss Jess sayed he was mine... she buyed him fer me fer as a suprise. He's soft an bouncy an we named him Jacob. I really love him an I love Miss Jess soooooo much.

We went back ta the ranch an Lily getted ta see Isaac an Simon my bunnies. They have grown a bunch aready an they are so cute. We sat an played with em for a lil while.

When it started ta get late we goed back to Miss Jess' house an she cooked me dinner... chicken an potato salad and lemonade. It was really good! An then we went inta town fer storytime with Miss Sarah. After storytime I got ta sleep over at Miss Jess' house. She lets me sleep in her big bed with her an I like it a bunch. I sleep really good there an I'm so happy.

Surprise ride...

Las night afore it getted dark out, I was in the orphanage yard swingin an Miss Jess showed up with a surprise. She bringed Mona, my pony, an asked if I wanted ta go fer a ride. A course I did!

We rided ta Black Diamond Hills an Miss Jess asked if I ever seen the waterfalls. I never seen em afore so she sayed we could ride ta em but I hadda stay real close cuz there was parts of the trail that getted purty narrow… an she wasn’t kiddin. Narrow an steep… there was a few times I jus holded my breath and let Mona do the work. When we getted there is was mazin!

I never seen such a beautiful place afore. Water was comin down all round us an there was a pool that I wanted a go swimin in but Miss Jess sayed it’s kina rough water an swirls round an stuff.

Miss Jess taked her horsie Ace in the water, but Mona is lots shorter so we cided it would be better not ta let her go in.

It was startin ta get late so we had ta go back ta town, but Miss Jess sayed we can go back gain another time an bring a picnic lunch. I can’t wait! The ride back was good an then Miss Jess tucked me inta bed an she taked Mona back ta her stall fer me.

God has been real good ta me an I hope He knows how much I preciate it :)

Piper to date...

Tombstone, Arizona it is now 1899...

I was found at the age a 5 wanderin near the road atween Tombstone an Bisbee. Not far from an ambushed covered wagon, they figured that I belonged ta someone aboard who had met their untimely demise. Unfortunately the brutal murders, an havin been stripped a all their personal belongings, left no clue as to my identity. Unfortunately I dun remember anything about my family. When asked my name I thought for a moment an replied “Piper an I a pirate.”

So begins my story. I’m 7 years old now. I had one couple that taked me inta their house an sayed they was gonna take care a me, but that dun last long. One morning they dropped me off at one a their friends an they never comed back. Then I was put with another man an lady an they promised they was gonna love me an take care a me, but purty much the same thing… not long an they was gone. The next ones were real bad… all they seemed ta do was scream an yell an fight all the time. Finally one day that lady leaved and it was jus me an the man. But that not lasted long… he bringed another lady ta live with us an she didn’t seem ta like me. One mornin I waked up an they both was gone. I wandered out of the house and found myself in Tombstone.

I live at the orphanage now an it’s ok. I've been there fer bout 3 months an have meeted lots a new people. Grown ups were aways askin me if I wanted em ta dopt me an I dun trust grown ups much so I sayed I jus wanna be an orphan forever. Miss Sarah takes care a us an she is purty nice. She's kina strict but still love her an she was the first grown up I trusted in Tombstone. I maked a lemonade stand an sell lemonade with some a the other kids in town.

People seem ta like my lemonade an buy lots a it. I got a bank account an saved my monies til I had nuf ta buy a pony. Miss Jess is our teacher at school an she has a big ranch called Dreamer's Ranch. She had a real nice pony she selled ta me an I named her Mona. I love Mona bunches an try ta spend as much time as I can with her. Owny problem is she lives kina far from town so sometimes I dun get ta see her every day.

Our teacher, Miss Jess, is really nice. She likes kids lots an she would come an take me an my friend Lily ta her ranch and let us play an stuff. One time she taked me campin an it was so much fun.

She says she will aways love me an promised she ain't gonna leave me. Miss Jess maked a petition ta dopt me all we have left is ta see the judge... I even had ta have a check up at the doctors. I was real scared, but it ain't that bad an the doc says I'm real healthy. I have to have shots one day, but I purty sure I can find a way outta it.

The 4th a July in Tombstone was lotsa fun. There was hayrides an fireworks an everythin. I watched the fireworks with Alesha, Lily an Jules.
